Timing Belts and Chains
Your Timing belt and chains are the sole means of keeping all your engines moving parts working like clockwork. Vehicle manufacturers state that timing belts must be changed in the prescribed intervals of mileage and age to avoid costly and destructive failure. Although your car may be low mileage due to the rubber used in the belts they will require changing at timed intervals to prevent failure by the rubber deteriorating.
We also offer a full repair service on timing chains. Unlike belts, these normally last longer but can have issues when designed or poorly serviced vehicles. If your car rattles on startup this could be a sign of timing chain failure which if caught early could save you thousands.
At the same time, we also recommend that you change the water pumps to save further costly repairs and labour. If the pump fails and leaks this will require another replacement belt causing you to pay for a job twice. While replacing we refresh your coolant system with long-life antifreeze and bleed the system out for you so you are set for the road again.
